The Woman And The Sea (on the desktop)

my-panorama, originally uploaded by dicesix.

I got tagged by my fellow blogger K and so I will have to tell you folks something about my desktop. For some reason I cannot help feeling like a primary school pupil standing in front of the blackboard and boring my fellow pupils with "My Summer Vacation". But I guess I somehow owe this one to K as I have not fulfilled my last tag-duties he once imposed on me.

Well, take in the sight. First of all you must know that this is my office desktop. And there are specific reasons why I chose this background. This is a pic of Bondi beach in Australia and I love beaches and the ocean.... that'll count as reason number 1.

Reason number 2 is that the picture just seems so alive. I can imagine myself just standing there with squinty eyes because of the sputtering spume while trying to spot if that's a seal or a surfer getting eaten by shark out there.

The sea does amaze and scare me and others as well. My cousin once ran out of the water screaming because of some solid formation that floated toward him which I mistook for terra-cotta-like volcanic rock in a shape of a funny fir cone.

And while taking a dip at the San Fernando beach in the Philippines I have seen a jelly fish which had a diameter of an extra large family pan pizza. 15 seconds later our friend Jorn from Germany yelled "Outch!" and we all panicked. As we robbed back to the beach my sister noticed that Jorn's stomach and legs were covered with wales as if he encountered an overzealous dominatrix.

Our relatives ran over from the BBQ site and everybody was screaming for "suka”, vinegar. As that was not available quick enough an uncle quietly suggested "ihi" but an aunt discreetly whacked him over the head, as she was sure that our guest from Germany would not appreciate being rubbed with urine. Anyway, my relatives figured that gin would do as well and poured a bottle over Jorn’s stomach.

Well, and that’s what once happened to me on my summer vacations.

… … …

Uhm, his post was supposed to be about desktops, right?
Ooopsi.

Hahaha quite a story there about "ihi". The story actually had compensated the wallpaper.

I love "nature", beaches, city, wallpapers. I blend it during the summer months.

Thanks Dicey for doing this.

Hi Guys, I was quite amazed to see how far this tag goes. And it was fun to see how different all the desktops were. I enjoyed it.

That's a really nice desktop photo. Do you mind sharing it, or perhaps where I can get a picture of that in 1680x1050 (Widescreen) resolution? Many thanks! :)

Hey Wolf, I found that pic in flickr. And I have saved the pic on my office computer. I'll pass it to you right after Mid-Autumn Festival, ok?
